Sorry Women, Your Golden Knights ‘Reverse Retro’ Jersey Won’t Glow

While they are supposed to be "retro" based on the team's history, the Vegas Golden Knights are... well... new. They've got to get creative when they go "retro". So when their new "glowing" jersey was announced, heads turned throughout the league.
Well, sorry ladies. You will not be glowing. Unless you wear an authentic men's jersey.
People who have pre-ordered the Vegas Golden Knights Fanatics Women's 2022-23 Special Edition Breakaway Jersey on VegasTeamStore.com are beginning to get the email you see above, warning buyers that the Fanatics Women's jersey will not glow like we saw in the original hype video.
But wait, there are women in that video, and the jersey is glowing! What's going on here? Is this the patriarchy once again disrespecting women?! Well... not exactly.
It's not sexism
The women in the video above are not wearing the Fanatics version of the jersey, but instead the Adidas Authentic version of the jersey. Those jerseys tend to cost a bit more, are a bit heavier and uncomfortable, but most resemble the jerseys you see on the ice.
There's the rub. Adidas Authentics only come in one fit: men. As the league is made of 100 percent men. Fanatics makes both a men's and women's version of these jerseys that come in at a lower price point, but are missing some of the design features that Adidas slides into their jerseys. It all comes down to cost.
In this case, the glowing was developed in conjunction with Adidas and Fanatics doesn't get that love.
So ladies, you're left with two options. Either wear a jersey that might be better form fitting, but doesn't glow... or throw caution (and fashion) to the wind and go for the real deal.

NHL Releases Las Vegas Golden Knights’ Season Schedule, See Here
The official schedule for the Vegas Golden Knights' 2022-23 regular season has finally been released.
On Wednesday, July 6, the National Hockey League unveiled the schedule. However, there's a slight difference to the VGK's first game compared to pervious seasons.
For the second time since the team's inception, the Golden Knights will start their season away rather than at home, according to the NHL.
The first game will be on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. with the VGKs playing against the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena.
On Oct. 13, the Golden Knights will play their first home game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
According to the NHL, the Golden Knights will have a "season-high, seven-game homestand" that'll start on Jan. 5, 2023.
This homestand will go as following:
After this homestand, the Golden Knights will play a "season high" of six consecutive games on the road, which starts immediately after the streak of home games.
According to the NHL, VGK will play at T-Mobile Arena during key dates for Sin City! These dates include Nevada Day, New Year's Eve, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the day of the National Football League's Super Bowl LVII.
This season is sure to be an exciting one with new leadership and a change in command for the team.
Memberships for the full season will be available starting July 11 for the team's 41 regular season games and additional preseason games.
"Key benefits to being a full-season member include the best pricing on tickets to all home games, a complimentary jersey, exclusive member-only events, and the ability to safely and conveniently resell game tickets," the NHL stated.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of NYFW 2022
New York Fashion Week is the year's most important fashion event. Taking place just twice a year (February and September), international designers, models and celebrities put their best foot forward in an effort to showcase the latest in style innovation. Some of the pieces, hairstyles and makeup looks set the tone in trends for 2023 for buyers, the press, and the general public.
