Las Vegas Heat Could Bring Hottest June Ever Recorded

It doesn't take a meteorologist or a weather expert extraordinaire to tell you that this June has been extremely hot for the Las Vegas valley so far. You're not imagining it; the temps have been especially brutal. So brutal, in fact, that the Las Vegas heat this June has put us on track to breaking actual records.

You know it's truly scorching out there when we're literally about to break records. Records of the weather have been kept since the 1930s, and now, the Las Vegas heat is about to potentially make history.

News 3 reports that the National Weather Service has been eyeing this extreme weather. "For the first 23 days, the average temperature is 93.2 degrees (when you average daily high & low temps). This is a sharp difference compared to last June 2023 when the average temp was 81.7 degrees 23 days in."

Will these temps continue the trend through the end of the month? Unfortunately, it's looking like it.

This gruesome Las Vegas heat is no joke, especially when it comes to your health and well being. Everyone should be taking measures to stay extra safe in the Las Vegas area.

Ensure that you're taking the necessary steps to stay hydrated. Staying hydrated is key, but not just for you. Make sure that your pets are also staying hydrated with plenty of water, and don't let them be out in the sun and heat for very long periods at a time.

Making sure that you're protecting your skin from the sun's harmful rays is also of the utmost importance. Wear clothing to cover exposed skin, and invest in some high SPF sunscreen.
