Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is no stranger to being in the spotlight, especially since his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift captured the attention of fans around the world. Now, Kelce is once again making headlines for his reaction to Swift’s latest track, "Wood."

"It's a great song," Travis said simply when his older brother, Jason Kelce, asked for his take on Wood during the October 8 episode of their New Heights podcast.

Jason, 37, pressed further: "Do you feel — not confident, but cocky — about the song Wood?"

Travis replied, "No. Any song that, you know, she references me in is very..."

Jason interrupted, pointing out, "This isn’t just any song. It’s a very specific you."

In a very Travis way, he responded, "I love that girl, so what do you mean? Any song that references me like that..."

Jason cut him off again: "It’s not just you — it’s about, well, a certain part of you. It's a very specific thing."

Teasing his brother, Travis said, "I think you're not understanding the song."

Jason pressed on, quoting some of the more suggestive lyrics. "Travis, come on. ‘Redwood tree ain’t hard to see’…That's a generous word."

When it was clear Travis wouldn’t comment further, Jason concluded, "That song is great. The beat is fantastic and right up my alley. Really well done."

The song Wood has already sparked countless social media conversations, from lyric breakdowns to speculative TikTok videos. Fans have been debating possible Easter eggs throughout the track, something Kelce acknowledged adds to the excitement of being connected to one of the world’s biggest music stars.

While Kelce is focused on the Chiefs’ season, he admitted it’s been an unforgettable experience to watch Swift perform live and see firsthand the impact she has on millions. As for Wood, Kelce seems content to enjoy the song alongside everyone else, laughing, guessing, and letting Swift keep her creative secrets.

Watch Jason and Travis break down The Life of a Showgirl even further on the episode.
