Las Vegas is broadening its nightlife identity as country bars gain momentum alongside the city's traditional club scene. Longstanding venues like Gilley's helped lay the groundwork, and newer concepts are now drawing steady crowds on and near the Strip, reflecting a noticeable shift in entertainment preferences.

At Ole Red, general manager Ryan Klaasen says the relaxed atmosphere is central to its appeal. "It's laid back, it's comfortable. It's, it's, it's home, right?" Klaasen said. He added, "There's no dress code. Here you come as you are. You get accepted as you are." The venue recently marked its second anniversary with a packed house, highlighting the growing demand for country-focused spaces.

Visitors echo that sentiment, citing both comfort and music as major draws. "I'm not here for the clubs. I'm here for the country bars with good music," visitor Katie Coine said. Another visitor, Jason Barber, pointed to the genre's broader reach, noting, "I feel like country's blowing up all over the radio."

For some tourists, the setting itself stands out. "Definitely different. I would have expected something like this in Nashville," said Adrian Flores, visiting from south of Houston, underscoring the novelty of finding a country bar on the Strip.

Industry leaders say expansion benefits everyone. "I believe that the more places, actually brings more people out. It actually helps all of us," said Lee Vlastaris, entertainment director at Jason Aldean's Kitchen and Bar, emphasizing the balance between tourist traffic and local audiences.

The trend shows no signs of slowing. Plans are moving forward for Category 10, backed by Luke Combs, at the former Margaritaville site near the Flamingo Las Vegas, signaling continued growth of Las Vegas's country bar ecosystem.
