Anyone who knows me knows how much I love hot dogs. I can’t get enough of the classic American food. However, Las Vegas gives a whole new meaning to the name during the summertime.

If you have been in Las Vegas for more than 30 seconds during the summer months, you are all too familiar with the extreme desert heat. The heat can be uncomfortable or even dangerous for us. Potential side effects include high temperature, muscle spasms, headache, dizziness, nausea, and other heat-related illnesses. Thankfully, we know the importance of limiting our time outside right now. Taking the proper precautions when we know we will be in the heat for long periods of time is crucial.

If you have an adorable, four-legged friend like I do, it’s not only yourself you have to worry about. With a heat advisory currently in place and consistent temperatures over 100 degrees, a long trip to the dog park might be fatal. This means us pet owners might have to get creative to keep our pups entertained.

"But Sammi, how am I supposed to keep my dog active and entertained if I don’t want to risk their health?" I'm glad you asked. I have found a bunch of ways to have fun in the summer without putting my heat-sensitive french bulldog, Butch, at risk. Butch is an active little guy, but these high temperatures are hard on his stuffy little body. Don’t forget that the individual needs of your furry friend may vary based on their breed or personal traits. Fortunately, these ideas should generally work for all dogs and allow for subtle adjustments to be made if needed. These are loved by dogs of all kinds.

Buy your dog some pet friendly frozen treats or make them a cold, delicious snack at home.

Just like humans, staying hydrated is essential for dogs in the heat! Provide water for your dog at all times, especially when spending any time outside.

Take your dog to a shallow lake or spring, head to a pet-friendly pool, or even buy a kiddie pool for them to splash in!

I know what you’re thinking, but hear me out. Tell your dog to stay, run and hide, then have them come find you!

When it comes to my day-to-day diet, I try to maintain healthy eating habits. However, my body's natural craving for excessive calories and carbs often takes the reigns. Then I find myself frequently enjoying my two favorite foods - hot dogs and ice cream. We are a trio that cannot be separated, no matter how hard the universe tries.

Whether you like tacos or burgers, or prefer chocolate over vanilla, everyone can celebrate this day to the max. Order those fries, upgrade that meal, and eat what your heart desires. Treat yourself today!

Little Debbie has released a wide range of baked goods since the brand was born in 1960. Their products range from brownies, cookies, and cakes to pastries, snack bars, and pies. With so much variation in their line up, it's difficult to pick a favorite. But that's the beauty of their wide range of goodies; there's a snack cake for everyone!

The nostalgia behind Little Debbie snack cakes spans across generations, as several of their most popular treats have stood the test of time. Nutty Buddys have found their way into lunchboxes since the product released in 1964. Kids today are still enjoying the delicious wafer bars nearly 60 years later. Many of the company's original products can still be purchased today, and these products have remained public favorites throughout the years. Swiss Rolls, Zebra Cakes, Raisin Creme Pies, and Oatmeal Creme Pies all made their debut as the company got its start in the 1960s.

The 1970s marked huge growth for the treat chain as Little Debbie further expanded their product line. Over the course of the decade, the world was introduced to Star Crunch, Fudge Rounds, Devil Squares, and Peanut Butter Crunch. All of these snacks can still be found in stores, and all of these snacks are delicious.

The company celebrated its 25th anniversary in the 1980s and also released one of its most iconic cakes. Christmas Tree Cakes hit shelves in 1985, and the tree-shaped delights have been a staple of the holidays ever since. Additional releases included Donut Sticks (originally introduced as Dunk'em Sticks), Fig Bars, Chocolate Chip Cakes, and Fancy Cakes.

Have you ever found yourself leaving a concert venue thinking "Wow... That show just changed my life," or "Did my soul just leave my body?"

Both sets of words ran through my head simultaneously as I trekked down the escalators of T-Mobile Arena and processed the alluring chaos of Machine Gun Kelly's Mainstream Sellout Tour concert on Friday, July 15th.

Off the bat, Willow sang her heart out and slayed her opening performance, bringing the crowd to their feet and setting immaculate vibes for the evening. When Avril Lavigne took the stage, I think my heart nearly stopped. Avril has been one of my favorite artists for as long as I can remember, and her set was the perfect segue into the title performance of the evening.

As a regular concert-goer, I am rarely shocked or surprised by unexpected antics and elements of shows. I am usually able to predict the unpredictable, but the moment the lights dimmed in T-Mobile Arena and Machine Gun Kelly hovered into view on a bright pink helicopter, I knew I was in for an evening filled with twists and turns. MGK dangling from a ladder mid-air was an unforgettable sight, and from that moment on, the surprises were continuous.

From start to finish, this show kept every ticket holder on their toes. It made me think, laugh, and cry (happy tears of course). It truly touched me in a way no other concert ever has. Machine Gun Kelly put his reflective demeanor, unique humor, and genuine heart of gold on display. These attributes were undeniable throughout the vulnerable moments he shared with his audience and the production and articulation of the story he told.

I was fortunate enough to enjoy the experience with my best friend by my side, and together, we documented the seven best elements from Friday night's concert in Las Vegas.

Seeing "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boy" live felt surreal.

The circular, checkered stage was mesmerizing throughout Machine Gun Kelly's set. I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

So much of the evening was painted in pink, and I was living for it. Especially the confetti!

If I had a dollar for every time a flame shot up during Machine Gun Kelly's set, I'd be enjoying early retirement and a fruity drink in the Bahamas right now.

A giant robot representing the internet/social media and its potential toxicity was present behind the stage for the majority of MGK's set.

This one... goes without saying. Iconic.

During his performance of "forget me too," MGK handed the microphone to a little girl from the audience. For the sake of privacy, I will not share a photo of her on-stage. Rather, I will share our reaction to the most priceless moment of the night.
