You don't know what you got 'til it's gone. When COVID caused the (at least partial) shutdown of several businesses, the one many found themselves missing the most were the comedy clubs. From the small holes in the wall to the thousand-plus seat auditoriums, Las Vegas was always the home to uproarious laughter. Then... silence. The most noise on the strip came to the ducks and geese that thought we were gone for good.
Well, restrictions faded, doors reopened, and last week the final comedy club yet to open finally kicked on the lights.
Kimmel is back...
Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club at The LINQ Promenade was the last to give the green light. The club was only open for less than a year before we got "down with the sickness". Named after the late night host and Clark High School alum, the comedy club also serves as a semi-studio. That allows Jimmy to patch in comedians performing in Vegas to perform on his late night show.
Kimmel is coming back to Las Vegas this Friday to get the Key To The Strip from Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom. The ceremony will be at 7pm at the club.
